Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Additionally, if you are a European resident, we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example, if you install our App through Shopify), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.

Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to India and potentially the United States.
 

Data Retention
 

We will maintain the information collected through the App for our records as long as you continue to use the App. If you uninstall the App, we will delete or anonymize your information within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory reasons. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the email address below.
 

Changes
 

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.

ZapEvents ("the App") provides Google Tag Manager DataLayer setup and e-commerce event tracking services ("the Service") to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

  • Customer Data: Name, email address, phone number, physical address, and browsing behavior of your store visitors

​

  • Store Owner Information: Name, email address, phone number, and physical address

​

  • Store Analytics: Access to edit pixels and view analytics data

​

  • Online Store Data: Access to edit your store's theme for DataLayer implementation

  • Customer Browsing Behavior: Information about how customers interact with your store

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:

  • Technical Information: IP addresses, browser and operating system details, client ID cookies

​

  • Behavioral Data: Browsing behavior, page views, and interaction with store elements

  • E-commerce Event Data: Information about customer actions such as product views, cart additions, and purchase completions

We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, or using the following technologies:
