GetLean's patients find them through a Meta ad, fill in an assessment online, get assessed by a registered practitioner offline, receive their prescription by email, and pay days later, often on another device. Meta's Health & Wellness restriction was blocking the events that made those ads work. Zappush lifted the restriction and connected every purchase back to its ad.
The story
A regulated clinic in a category Meta restricts by default
GetLean is a LegitScript-certified Australian telehealth clinic for clinician-guided GLP‑1 weight loss. An Australian-registered practitioner reviews every assessment. Coaches and nutritionists deliver the programme online.
The work
Three problems. Three fixes.
Meta classifies GetLean as Health & Wellness and restricts what the domain can send. For most brands that is the whole problem. For GetLean it was the start. The conversion was also lost in the gap between the form and the payment, and again in the switch from laptop to phone. None of it happens where a browser pixel can see it.
The category restriction
Meta had classified getlean.com.au as Health & Wellness and was stripping the events campaigns learn from. Zappush now removes health terms, product names and page paths from every event before it reaches Meta. Purchase and Lead arrive clean.

Data sharing restrictions applied
One or more websites or apps are in categories with data sharing restrictions. Specifically, certain standard events are blocked, and your data source(s) are in a core setup. If you think the categories haven't been applied appropriately, you can request a review. About the restrictions

Form fills online. Purchase offline.
People click the ad and fill in the assessment online. Doctors send the prescription by email, where the purchase happens. Zappush stitches the journey from click to purchase and sends every step back to Meta as Lead, Qualified Lead and Purchase without any attribution loss. GetLean optimises for what matters, and Meta gets more purchases to learn from.

Laptop to phone
Most patients fill in the assessment on a laptop and open the prescription email on their phone. Two devices, no shared cookie, so Meta cannot attribute the ad click to the purchase. Zappush Persistent ID recognises them as the same person and sends the purchase to Meta server-side via CAPI, so the ad gets credit for the sale.

Our impact
What Zappush made possible
GetLean now runs unrestricted on Meta, with every qualified lead and purchase attributed to the ad that produced it. Campaigns optimise for paying patients, not form fills, and reach more Australians who need care.
More Purchase events reaching Meta
Lower cost per qualified patient

The technical detail
The category restriction
- What it looked like
- Meta had restricted getlean.com.au under Health & Wellness. Lower-funnel events were blocked before campaigns could learn from them. Jared's words: fragmented data and wasted spend.
- Why the usual fixes fail
- Renaming events, switching to CAPI or opening a new Pixel does not change the classification. It is attached to the domain and to what the event contains. A Purchase that carries a product name like GLP-1 or a path like /medical-weight-loss stays restricted, whatever it is called.
- What Zappush built
- Every event passes through the Zappush container before delivery. Health terms, product names, query parameters and page paths are removed on the server. Permitted identifiers are hashed. Event IDs are kept. The clean event goes to Meta through the Conversions API, and acceptance is verified.
- What it restored
- Meta accepts Purchase and Lead again and optimises on them. No pixel violations. No account warnings. GetLean's site, forms and copy did not change.
Form fills online. Purchase offline.
- What it looked like
- Meta could see the assessment form. It could not see the part that makes money.
- Why the usual fixes fail
- A browser Pixel only knows the session it is in. The purchase starts from an email link: no click ID, no cookie, no page with a Pixel on it. To Meta it is a stranger buying, not the lead it paid for. So campaigns optimised for form fills, the only signal they had, instead of patients who qualified and paid.
- What Zappush built
- The click is captured once, at the assessment, and stored on the server as a first-party record. When the practitioner qualifies the patient, and again when payment completes, GetLean's system tells Zappush. Zappush sends each stage to Meta as a server-side conversion tied to the original click. Both credit the right campaign, however long the gap.
- What it restored
- Meta stopped optimising for form fills and started optimising for paying patients.
Laptop to phone
- What it looked like
- Patients filled in the assessment on a laptop and opened the prescription email on a phone. Two devices, two browsers, no shared cookie. Even without the restriction, the purchase could not be joined to the click.
- Why the usual fixes fail
- Browser cross-device matching needs Meta to recognise the same logged-in user on both devices. It cannot do that reliably for a session that starts in an email client. The join has to happen where identity persists: on the server.
- What Zappush built
- Identity is keyed on the hashed identifiers captured at the assessment. The phone purchase resolves to the same record as the laptop click. The event Meta receives carries the match keys for the original user and campaign.
- What it restored
- One patient, one journey, one attribution, regardless of device.

Selling GLP-1 puts every word on our website under Meta's microscope. Which means putting us in a restricted category. And then fragmented data and wasted spend were killing us until Zappush rebuilt our Health & Wellness infrastructure server-side, end-to-end. The pipeline scales with us, fully within Meta's Health & Wellness policy: no pixel violations, no account warnings, just clean signal feeding our campaigns. In a category this scrutinized, that's the difference between scaling and stalling.
